Lucio Castro Heads to Times Square-Designer Lucio Castro called on his photography background for a new series of images featuring his fall 2014 collection. Castro shares, “Our friend Tao came to visit our studio in the heart of the garment district and we decided to go on a walk around the mythical heart of New York City, Times Square.”
Shot for the revolutionary shopping app Spring, Castro explains, “We wanted the photos to be full of movement and grain so I used my 60’s half frame ‘Russian Spy’ camera Fed Micron, which shoots in real 35mm film. Even though I moved to New York almost fifteen years ago every time I walk around Times Square I immediately feel like a tourist, and although it certainly can be too hectic for a lot of people it’s a place so intrinsically possessed by such a deep sense of wonder, that one just needs to surrender to its limelights and contemplate.” Shop Lucio Castro’s fall 2014 collection on On.ShopSpring.com.
