Terry’s Gang–Controversial photographer Terry Richardson continues to push the envelope capturing twins Marcio and Marcos Patriota for Philipp Plein’s spring/summer 2013 campaign. Crossing the line that other photographers merely dared to tease, Richardson photographs the twins alongside Lea T and Poppy Delevingne, while also making an appearance in the campaign himself.

  1. For Philipp Plein the penny (or should it be–the silver dollar?) has finally dropped. He has realized, in advance of the other “rag-traders”, that: In hard economic times, people want to dress up. When money is in short supply, the illusion of wealth is more important than the fact. We can expect to see more: tailoring, better fitting, and somber colors. But bow-ties, is that a knot too far? Perhaps not, for those of ancient enough to remember how to tie a bow-tie. Somewhere, in the back of everyone’s closet is a clothes-iron and shoe-polishing kit. Happy hunting; you’re going to be “puttin’ on the Ritz”.–Roger T. Thomes (Amsterdam)

  2. Terry Richadson’s work is SO overrated. There is nothing new about this campaign – right down to his depiction of incest w/ the Patriota twins. More talented photogs have touched on the topic and done more w/ less. & lets not even touch the Richardson cameo. WTF.
