ACNE PRE-FALL 2009
Acne tends to be on the cutting-edge when it comes to fashion, so it came as a surprise when the end of January saw the presentation of a simple, understated monochromatic collection. However, upon further examination, the direction of the collection begins to make sense.
The collection is representative of a 1960’s Bob Dylan exploring a modern European metropolis. Finding his footing, he relies on core basics of the same color family, while incorporating subtle pieces of luxury like this season’s drawstring goat vest. Finally, his look is made signature with boots that sport a wedge.
Acne’s unusual source of inspiration demonstrates a fall collection that is less about risk and more about building an eclectic wardrobe with longevity.
