Partnering with The Woolmark Company for a two-season collaboration, Thom Browne is making history as the first US designer to use its Cool Wool-certified garments commercially. Revisiting classic staples such as houndstooth suiting, Browne will incorporate natural fibers such as Australian Merino wool into garments for both spring-summer and fall-winter 2016. Browne’s spring collection will launch in January, available from a selection of retailers that includes Luisaviaroma, SSENSE and his own store front in New York. Discussing his collaboration, Browne shares, “Wool has long been an essential element of my collection and this partnership with The Woolmark Company allows me to further explore the possibilities and boundless potential of the fiber.” Browne continues, “We’re using more wool in our spring collections each year and its natural benefits such as breathability and shape retention mean it is perfect for lightweight suiting.”
