In an unexpected move, Thom Browne opted out of a runway show this season, instead relying on a showroom presentation. The presentation expanded on Browne’s recent Pitti Uomo appearance last month. Browne’s European presentation was simplistic, but his American showing filled the avant-garde void.

Fair Isle prints, horizontal stripes, and fur accents govern the latest collection. Characterized by peculiar cuts, the collection includes shrunken cardigans, waists set too high, overindulgent flap pockets, and skirt-fitted coats. According to Thom Browne standards, this is a tame collection, yet it still shines amid a lackluster season.
