Currently, Tim Hamilton’s spring collection is the most exciting thing to come out of New York Fashion Week. The collection is effortless, yet has spunk.  It definitely has its own personality.  I like Robert Geller, but was weary of the prison yard look and how it took over his collection.  His collection also seemed quite cookie cutter and reminded me a lot of Ann Demeulemeester; as in items I have already seen.  Tim Hamilton, on the other hand, took the stripes and gave them flair.  The wide stripes were used on shorts, which creates a powerful image, yet at the same time because of their physical size, it is not too much for the eye to handle.  I also love the draping and the ties/waist cinches used on the shirts, sweaters, and pants.  The first look pictured is absolutely ridiculous.  The boots are stellar!  I love the color and I like when boots are worn with shorts and somehow it works.  I also like what he did with the shirt.  You can tell the shirt is inspired by the stripe theme, yet taken in a fresh direction.  KUDOS TIM HAMILTON!  I think a salute is in order.
