Olympic gold medalist Tom Daley is diving into a new role—this time, with yarn. Partnering with Woolmark, Daley is embracing his love for knitting, which captured global attention during the Tokyo 2020 Olympics when he was seen crafting poolside.
Now, he’s taking this passion further as Woolmark’s newest ambassador, promoting Merino wool’s versatility and sustainable nature.

The collaboration will see Daley launch his line of Woolmark-certified knit kits under his brand Made With Love, slated for 2025. These kits will feature premium Merino yarns and exclusive patterns.
Daley expressed his enthusiasm, sharing, “Knitting has formed such a huge part of my everyday life; it is what grounds me, keeps me mindful, and slows me down.” The 30-year-old continues, “Knitting with wool is the epitome of that; the soft texture and amazing natural properties allow it to temperature regulate, making it the perfect fiber for quality garments and homewares designed to last generations.”
Beyond fashion, the project highlights knitting’s therapeutic value. Research highlights the craft’s mental health benefits, such as reduced heart rates and improved well-being. Woolmark’s alignment with Daley’s initiative champions sustainable fashion and promotes knitting as a lifestyle for wellness and mindfulness.
