A Youthful AffairTrussardi creative director Umit Benan looked to the house’s heritage to guide his spring/summer 2013 collection, interestingly mixing classic pieces for the modern age with an unlikely cast. Boyish, youthful, rebellious, the models of Trussardi represented a fresh new outlook for the brand. Benan brought to his collection an attitude that juxtaposes a tried and true wardrobe of tailored wears with more relaxed pieces…drawstring khakis or oversized striped pants, all very much in the vibe of loungewear. Paired with an abundance of carryalls, scarves, logo adorned polo shirts and a hint of the 1970’s, bright colors, prints and laid-back fits sum up a perfect season from Trussardi with Benan, wisely at the helm.
