With a new campaign, brands UGG and Feng Chen Wang reunite for a fall-winter 2021 capsule collection. Reimagining classic UGG boots and sandals via deconstruction, Feng Chen Wang’s research of yin-yang philosophy inspired this new partnership. Black and white are combined with a vibrant pink backdrop to create a visually attractive ad. The campaign aims to portray the designer’s “complementary opposites” concept via the lens of “modern-future” aesthetics.

An interpretation and representation of the classic Chinese yin-yang concept, where opposing elements may be complementary – negative or positive, dark or light – is the motivating force behind the UGG x Feng Chen Wang partnership. The collection’s color scheme and design elements represent this view of duality. Black, white, and a pink-grey/beige contrast give the UGG Classic Boot and the UGG Fluff Sandal new options.
The barriers between men’s and women’s footwear are broken down by a unisex design. The contrast between harsh outside hardware and plush inside lining is stark, yet it also works together. For practical and philosophical reasons, this collection is an excellent choice for expressing one’s individuality while maintaining a sense of oneness.
