Are the days of Versace gladiators and opulence over? With her fall-winter 2015 menswear collection, Donatella Versace ditched the flamboyance and refocused the brand’s efforts on its suiting and tailoring. Surprisingly somber, the collection achieved a cool air that touched upon a mix of old and new. Tailored suits were modest save for Versace logo embellished buttons and a luxe new fashion was extended with casualwear that consisted of lengthened knitwear and even longer coats. Minus a zigzag here or a touch of leather there, Versace delivered a shockingly quiet collection. Are we growing up?
