New Canvas–Following last season’s heavily disheveled silhouette, VBN returns with a light-spirited lineup. The spring 2012 collection not only marks a new vision, but the inauguration of a newly appointed head designer, Kirk Von Heifner, a former designer at John Varvatos. Continuing a desaturated color palette, the Tampopo film inspired collection is constructed in artisanal fabrications of washed knits, organic bamboo weaves and distressed canvas. With an assortment of separates ranging from light-weight cardigans and casual chinos to basic tees and relaxed flannels, layering is made easy and sustainable for the cool spring season by the eco-conscious label.
