Urban Outfitters at Herald Square–Urban Outfitters just got bigger. The youth-friendly retailer recently opened its largest store worldwide at Herald Square, on Broadway, between 35th and 36th. The 57,000 square feet flagship is next door to Macy’s epic landmark of a store. Urban Outfitters Inc. chief officer John Hauser confessed to WWD, “They do $1 billion next door, so I think we’ll do nothing to them.” However, Urban Outfitters could be a competitor in the youth market. Its new store boasts three floors that extend past its usual offering with bikes from Bikestock, an activewear department, a hair salon and even a beauty department.
