Following a simply pleasing summer 2010/11 campaign, we take a closer look at Zambesi’s correlating collection. Photographed by Marissa Findlay as well, Christopher Landon takes center focus in a gratifying collection that mixes Zambesi’s heritage with the progressive need to push menswear in a direction that is not afraid of the sensitive. Contrasting strong images of the outdoors against a state, softened by sheer short-sleeve numbers and wool gauze, Zambesi designer Dayne Johnston adds a sentimental touch with vintage fabrics from the label’s workrooms. Altogether offering a relaxed pace for the season with deconstruction and silhouettes of ease, Zambesi packs a fine-tuned punch.
